Install, inspect, repair and test machinery/equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
Dismantle and reassemble defective machines/equipment. Replace parts; clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts.
Install and/or repair wiring and electrical and electronic components.
Assemble, install and/or repair pipe systems, plumbing, and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Sets up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, fixtures, or tools.
Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
Candidate is required to bring basic tools of their own to work.
The work environment is a textile mill operating 24/7. The shifts are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. with weekend shifts beginning in winter for 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The position will work in a 900,000 sq. ft. facility. Employee will be required to stand and/or move around for 8-12 hour periods based on the shift schedule.
Able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 75 pounds. The employee will be required to bend, lift, walk, turn with repetition. The work environment could be warm, dusty, with equipment which generates heat. The ability to wear PPE correctly when necessary inside of the manufacturing area and prevent injury.
On the job training is provided to learn the machines, however, mechanical competency and intuition will be evaluated.
Our product production rates depend on the technician's and team's agility in maintaining the efficiency of the machines and equipment.
